Top 16 Vehicles Most Likely To Reach 200,000 Miles - Used Cars:
People who buy cars often ask for one that won't break down easily and will stay in good shape for a long time. But how can you tell how long a car will last?
Well, the folks at iSeeCars.com looked at the mileage (how far a car has been driven) of 11.8 million used cars that were traded in during 2020. And you know what they found out? Big SUVs are the winners when it comes to lasting a long time!
Regular many peoples search online for sell my car, cars for sale, car dealerships near me, toyota dealership, buy here pay here near me, buy here pay here, sell your car, carvana sell my car, kia dealership and kia dealership near me etc. related full details.
Karl Brauer, who works at iSeeCars, looked at more than 11.8 million used cars sold in 2020. These were cars that weren't being made anymore in 2021.
Whenever a car gets sold, they keep a record of lots of information about it, like how much it sold for, where it was sold, and how many miles it had driven. So Karl was able to find out the mileage of all those 11.8 million cars sold in 2020.
So, most of the vehicles that last a really long time are trucks and SUVs. But there are also two Toyota hybrids, the Avalon sedan, and the Prius hatchback on the list. This shows that Toyota is known for making reliable cars according to this measure.
However, it's important to know that not many cars, trucks, or SUVs last more than 200,000 miles in their lifetimes. Actually, only about one percent of all vehicles ever reach that milestone.
Top 16 Vehicles Most Likely To Reach 200,000 Miles - Used Cars:
Toyota Land Cruiser:
For over 50 years, Toyota has been selling different versions of the Land Cruiser. It's well-known among its owners for being tough and able to handle any terrain, much like the Jeep Wrangler.
Next year, Toyota will release a new version called the Land Cruiser 300, which will come with both V8 and V6 engines. The current Land Cruiser has had some updates to its looks and interior, but it first came out in 2008, so it's about time for a brand new model.
Toyota Sequoia:
Toyota's largest SUV can seat eight people and is built on the same framework as their Tundra pickup truck. When we say it's sturdy, we mean it weighs about three tons.
The first version of this SUV came out in 2000, and the one you're looking at now is the second version, which came out in 2008. You can get one for under $50,000.
Chevrolet Suburban:
In 2021, there's a new version of the Suburban, a type of big SUV. But the 2020 model was really popular and ranked third on a list. The 2021 Suburban has some new features like a different kind of suspension at the back and the option to choose a diesel engine.
The 2020 Suburban was part of the 11th generation of Suburbans and had two choices of V8 engines: one was 5.3 liters, and the other was bigger at 6.2 liters. The first Suburban came out in 1935, which means it's the oldest SUV that's still being made today.
Ford Expedition:
The big Expedition SUV has been around for almost 25 years, with the latest version starting in 2018, so it's still pretty new. They made some changes to the body and parts to make it lighter, so it now weighs 5,433 pounds. It runs on a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and starts at around $50,000, which is fair for a vehicle this size.

Toyota 4Runner:
The 4Runner is getting old, but it's still tough, especially off-road. It's been around in its current form since 2009, which is a long time compared to its rivals. But despite that, when you go to places like El Capitan meadow where outdoor enthusiasts hang out, you'll still see plenty of 4Runners and cheaper Tacomas with shells on the back. The 4Runner's engine has been the same for about twenty years, but it works well, so there's been no need to change it.
Toyota Avalon:
Last year, both the Avalon and Camry were brand new, so we're not sure how many of the high-mileage sales were for the new or older models. The new Avalon has the option for all-wheel drive, which is also available in the Camry and RAV4 because they share the same design foundation.
They all use a 205-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The Avalon is known for being really smooth and quiet to drive, almost like a Lexus, and it's pretty luxurious too. It starts at around $36,000.
Chevrolet Tahoe:
Last year, the Tahoe SUV got some updates to improve its ride quality and appeal to people who drive in cities. They added a new rear suspension and optional air springs to make it smoother. They also gave it a new engine option: a diesel one that's smaller but powerful.
You can still choose between the older V8 engines too. This info is about the 2021 model. The Suburban SUV has been around for 85 years, but the Tahoe is younger at 25 years old. Chevy says a lot of people in America buy Tahoes, so they must be doing something right.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid:
In late 2019, Toyota released the fourth-generation Highlander Hybrid, a larger SUV with three rows of seats. It comes in both two-wheel and all-wheel drive options, which is new for this model.
The hybrid version has a 2.5-liter engine that, combined with electric power, gives a total of 243 horsepower. Because it's a hybrid, it's designed to be fuel-efficient, getting around 36 miles per gallon in the city and 35 on the highway. Prices for this SUV start at approximately $36,000.
Toyota Tundra:
Car and Driver said the 2021 Toyota Tundra is the oldest truck among its competitors, but it still does a good job hauling stuff and handling rough terrain. It has a powerful V8 engine with 381 horsepower that can tow up to 10,200 pounds. However, its transmission isn't very responsive, and it doesn't get great gas mileage. It starts at $33,825.
GMC Yukon XL:
The Yukon XL is GMC's version of the Suburban. It's like other vehicles made by GM, and it has a special rear end just like the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. You can also choose to have special shocks and suspension. The engine is a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower and enough torque for your needs. Plus, there's lots of space for people and stuff inside.
Honda Ridgeline:
Honda is introducing a new Ridgeline truck that comes with all-wheel drive as a standard feature. It has a tougher and more truck-like look on the outside. The truck will have an engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, which means it can tow up to 5,000 pounds and carry a payload of 1,580 pounds. The starting price for this truck is $36,490.
GMC Yukon:
The Yukon is like GMC's version of the Chevy Tahoe. This means it gets all the same upgrades as the Tahoe, like having its own rear end and optional air springs. Inside, it's also roomier in almost every way, and it has different engine options, including a diesel, a V8, or a powerful 6.2-liter V8. Prices start at around $50,000.
Honda Odyssey:
The newest version of the Honda Odyssey came out in 2018, and in 2021 it got some small updates inside and out. It still has a powerful engine and a smooth automatic transmission that helps it get good gas mileage on the highway.
The outside of the van looks a little different with new headlights, fog lights, and a black grille. The fancier Touring model now comes with bigger wheels, and the top-of-the-line Elite trim has special gray wheels. Prices for the van start around $30,000.
