67% of the seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in the State/ UT where the Sainik School is located. 33% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Other States and Union Territories (UT)

Sainik Schools offer admission at the level of Class VI and Class IX. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).

AISSEE 2024 covers admission for the academic year 2024-25 to:-

(a) Class VI and Class IX of the Sainik Schools and

(b) Class VI of the New Sainik Schools

(NTA) conducted the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) – 2024 at different centres located across the country on Jan 28.

In order to be eligible for admission to Sainik School for a particular academic year in case of General, OBC (NCL) and Defence/ex-servicemen category, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of 25% marks in each section/subject and an aggregate of 40% marks in the AISSEE 2024. However, in respect of candidates belonging to scheduled castes,scheduled tribes the minimum marks criteria shall not apply.

The National Testing Agency will evaluate the Answer Sheets using standard procedure and declare the results. The respective mark-sheet can be downloaded by individual candidates through their login on the website.

Challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the NTA with the help of panel of subject experts. If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Key, result will be prepared and declared.

Candidates will be given an opportunity to make online challenge, within a specified period, against the provisional Answer Key on payment of non-refundable processing fee of Rs.200/-per answer challenged.

NTA will open the objection window of AISSEE answer key 2024 along with the release of the provisional answer key. The window to raise objections will remain opened for 2-3 days.

NTA will display the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and recorded responses by the machine, of all the candidates on the official website of AISSEE.

The result of AISEE 2024 of the candidates who indulge in Unfair Means/ Malpractice will be cancelled and will not be declared.
